BC Publicly Funded IVF Program Update: Start Date, Eligibility & Application Process Announced
June 26, 2025

Update June 2025
We’re excited to share that the new publicly funded IVF program from the BC Ministry of Health is set to begin on July 2, 2025.
If you’ve had a consultation or follow-up with a physician at Grace Fertility on or after March 8, 2024, and you’re interested in applying for funding, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line: Waitlist – Ministry Funding
This will add you to our waitlist. Please note that being on the waitlist does not guarantee that you will qualify for the program, but it does reserve your spot in line if you do meet the eligibility criteria once they're confirmed.
If you’ve already registered for our waitlist, there’s no need to email again—we’ll be contacting you in the next couple of weeks with next steps.
We also recommend checking the BC government website regularly for the most up-to-date information on who is eligible and how the program will work:
Publicly Funded In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Program - Province of British Columbia
We are committed to supporting you through the process as more information becomes available.
On Thursday, March 6th the Ministry of Health released an update on the publicly funded IVF Program including the start date and eligibility requirements.
The publicly funded IVF program will provide access to one-time funding, up to $19,000, for eligible BC residents. Applications open July 2, 2025.
Next Steps for Grace Fertility Patients
If you are a current Grace Fertility patient but have not been seen at our clinic since September 1, 2024, you will need to get a re-referral and see one of our fertility specialists to become an active patient again. This will help prevent any delays when funding becomes available in July.
We know many patients are eager to learn more about the waitlist.
Unfortunately, we have no further information from the BC Ministry of Health about how they want us to order patients when submitting their applications.
The Ministry has stated that they are developing a process for us to follow, and we will provide updates as soon as we know more.
We will then reach out to those who qualify with the next steps.
We are very pleased with this announcement and understand that this funding and information is very important to you.
We will continue to share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
