Mindfulness meditation provides an effective tool for coping with all types of psychological stress, as well as chronic pain, depression and many other conditions. Mindfulness practice has been shown to produce positive changes in mood and brain function that persist beyond the time of active meditation. MRI studies have shown measureable cortical structural changes in the brains of those partaking in regular meditation practice (Lazar 2005, 2011).
In a safe and supportive environment, Ann Marie coaches participants through awareness of the breath, body sensations, and relaxation to encourage positive thinking habits.
