Fertility preservation
Looking to preserve your current fertility potential before undergoing a medical procedure? We can help. From urgent egg and sperm freezing to embryo preservation, let our compassionate team at our fertility centre near Surrey guide and support you through your fertility preservation options.
Egg freezing
Egg freezing involves extracting your eggs and freezing them for future use. It’s an option commonly used before undergoing fertility-impacting procedures like ovarian surgery or chemotherapy. Elective egg freezing can also be practiced for personal reasons, locking in your current fertility potential, so you can choose to have children at a later time.

Sperm freezing
Male patients can freeze their sperm in case they experience fertility concerns in the future. For those planning IVF+/-ICSI, we also recommend sperm freezing if you or your partner has a low sperm count or will not be available to produce a sperm sample on the day of egg retrieval.
Sperm preserved through cryopreservation can generally be preserved for several years.

Preserving embryos
Embryo freezing is one of the most effective and successful methods of assisted reproductive technology. Quality embryos are selected and frozen to increase the chances of conceiving when later thawed and implanted.
For couples or patients undergoing hormone therapy, cancer treatment, or other medical procedures that could impact their fertility, embryo freezing can be an option.
