Women’s Health

Your health is important to us. That’s why we offer help in two important areas of women’s health: diagnosing abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) and treating symptoms of genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM).

Diagnosis & treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB)

Abnormal uterine bleeding is when bleeding from the uterus is irregular, whether longer, heavier, or lighter than usual, or occurring as spotting in between periods. AUB can be due to various factors, such as anovulation (when an egg is not released from your ovary during a menstrual cycle) or perimenopause (the body’s natural transition to menopause). Our clinic performs on-site ultrasound assessments and endometrial biopsy if necessary to help determine a course of treatment to address your needs.

Managing genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM)

GSM is a collection of symptoms caused by a reduction in estrogen levels, which can occur naturally during menopause or as a result of cancer treatment. If left untreated, these symptoms can lead to decreased quality of life and sexual dysfunction.

GSM, previously known as atrophic vaginitis, is characterized by:

Dryness and painful intercourse (dyspareunia)

Itching

Burning

Recurrent urinary tract infections

Mild stress incontinence
