For the past 20 years Janna has been working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings. Early in her career, Janna worked in the area of adoption and witnessed firsthand the struggle of infertility and its impact on the families involved. It was then she became aware of the lack of support available for these families.
She soon committed to educating herself and pursued training in infertility counselling by some of the leading clinicians in the field. Janna then developed a specialization and joined forces with her now partner, Karin Schwartz.
Janna received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social work followed by a masters in Counselling psychology from the University of British Columbia in 1993. Janna is a Registered Social Worker and a member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) and the Counselling Special Interest Group (CSIG) of the CFAS. Since 2000, Janna has being counselling clients from the Lower Mainland and the United States.
